Random Sketches 2015 and 2014

Sketch Books of 2014 and part of 2015

Random Sketches 2015 and 2014

Here you will find a lot of random sketches in 2015 and some in 2014. Overall a somewhat productive year dealing with foreshortening sketches and playing with perspective a little. Overall, many of the sketches were drawn on the fly at various cafes where I take lunch breaks from work.

Thank you for checking out my sketches. Enjoy!

Sketches human and furry from 2013

Sketch Book 2013 title.

The mixed Sketches of 2013

Introducing my brand new book "from 2013" which is simply a black book.  I will be throwing a lot of rough drafts of fur and miscellaneous crap into it! This time with a lot of blue pencils as well as Sumi-Ink coming later. The sketches in this book are purely for practice and to show people out there that I am still alive and thinking of art.

Thank you for checking out my rough artwork and enjoy!

Human and Furry Sketches from 2008

Human and Furry Sketches from 2008

Here you will find sketches of my mixed book of 2008. There isn't a whole lot I did in 2008 but I shall post it anyway for historical purposes. A lot of pencil work with the occasional Sumi-E ink drawings in here as well. This is one of the few times I actually sat down and started to draw more humans as I felt it is something that I should get better at doing. For what it's worth I posted it for all to see.

Thank you for checking out all of this rough art. Enjoy!

The Green Book – Sketches from 2001

sketch book 2001 - title.

Sketches from 2001 - A.K.A. The Green Book

Here you will find the archive of my sketches from 2001. There is no significance about a green sketchbook except for the fact that it was on sale at the time I purchased it. No matter, here is where you will find a lot of the sketches from the late 2001 era. A lot of this was made when I was going to M.A.T.C. for a while and I had some classes in between and there was a 1-hour delay between classes. so one hour a day for a year, and I filled an entire sketchbook. Most of the sketches within this book were either reference sheets or things that I used to play around with my Sumi-E Ink Pen. As a note, this is part 2 of my green book series and if you would like to go back to the first part you may click here.

Thanks for checking out my sketchbooks.

The loose paper sketches from 1994 to 2001

This collection is a loose paper sketches collection. Basically, books that have either been partially destroyed due to binding failure or just drawn on random pages that I have kept over time. Some of them are drawn with radiographs while others were drawn with Sumi-E Ink and pencil.

Sketches from 2000 - A.K.A. The Green Book.

Here you will find the archive for what is known as the ‘green book’. There is no significance about a green sketchbook except for the fact that it was on sale at the time I purchased it. No matter, here is where you will find a lot of the sketches from the late 2000 era.

A lot of the sketches are just random thoughts and projections getting used to inking and all of that fun stuff. This is part 1 of 2 of the green book series and if you would like to go to the next section you may click here.

The Black Book – Sketches from 1998

1998 - Sketches title

Sketches from 1998 - A.K.A. The Black Book.

This is a collection of sketches from my very first black book that I picked up at the MATC university store. The book itself is long since destroyed as the binding was destroyed %80 of the way through the sketchbook. But the individual pages have been scanned and shown here for archival reasons. Beyond that, there is no significant purpose behind the black sketchbook.

Thank you for checking out my book and I hope you enjoy it.

Desidra Art

Desidra Title

Desidra Art Collective:

Desidra is a section where art fits one of the following categories.

  • The art is extremely old and did not have a date on it.
  • The art was digitally drawn on an amiga 500 with 4mb of ram and an 80 MB hard drive. Running Electronic Arts Digi-Paint 3
  • The art was a sketch but the original was lost.

About the primitive coloring.

Many of the art pieces items were done on an Amiga 500. The maximum color palette of about 32 colors. You could go up to 4096 colors in HAM-8 modes but it was problematic. During this time the software used was called "Digi-Paint" made by Electronic Arts. Resources were tight at the time. However, learning how to color during that era has taught people a level of restraint that may have been lost with modern painting programs.

Thanks for checking out the art here.
