Clarification time!

Website Clarification TItle.

It’s time to shed some light and clarification on some of the things we do here.

Lately, we’ve gotten some feedback that people are getting our message and wanting to start a website which is excellent. The more people that start their own website means less centralization underneath the banner of a major conglomerate. Especially to those who choose a local or small web provider that gives you superior service versus the complete ambivalence of sites such as GoDaddy. Now for those who are interested in how we got into the blogging business, we have an article talking about how trials and tribulations from a shared hosting provider that only gave us 25MB of web space to the present time. We even have another article talking about how to start a blog right. This article mostly discusses the time frame and research it took to get where we are today.

Video web crawlers and the Google Monopoly over them.

YouTube Monopoly Title

Happy 2021 – Web crawling only gives you YouTube first, last, and always.

Back in 2016, we made an article about asking YouTube “Where is the fair use?” which was a slogan that the Nostalgia Critic was behind as parodies and criticism of film and literature is a form of free speech. Despite all of the Drama-Lama action that his agent “Channel Awesome” happened which is beyond the scope of this article. The statement was a valid question to ask YouTube. To the point where we even got hit with a copyright strike over the song “William Tell” which is a classical music song that falls under the category of public domain.

It appears we screwed up.

Blog of S-Config Article Title Screen.

Yes, it’s true. We can screw up. We’re pros at it!

In this chapter, we are swept away by tornadoes and dropped off somewhere in Jersey. It’s a serious fear for those who live in the great American mid-west. For those who aren’t following our social networks, we made the switch from Apache to NGinx. Why do you ask? Because after doing a lot of research combined with the fact that a lot of higher end programs we use have migrated to the  Nginx platform. It seemed reasonably powerful to give it a go. For the most part, the migration was a success! But like all things new you tend to get a little crazy with configuration and sometimes screw up!

To those who were wondering why things were silent for a bit. Well, there you go! Just table-flipping the website once again! Would you like to know more?

So you want to start a blog?

Start A Blog Title.

Start a blog? In this day and age? What the hell man?!?

Perhaps one of the three readers might be interested in our advice on how to start a blog. To learn from the mistakes/failures we’ve made so that you can be an even better blogger. Perhaps even some of the success that we’ve had too. It’s been now five and a half years since we opened this site and to this date, we couldn’t be happier with the majority of the decisions made here. So, instead of giving little bits of information like “download WordPress” this article is to approach all aspects of what it takes to be at least a proficient blogger.

We can’t say professional bloggers as that would involve making money. But proficient is the next best thing in our opinion. Let’s begin!

Some http2 headaches.

Collapsing internet universe title.

Sitting on the bleeding edge with HTTP2 protocols. HTTP2 has been enabled shortly after we purchased an SSL connection. This blog will continue to be enabled until a better transport protocol comes … Read more

SSL for bloggers

SSL for the extra paranoid blogger!

SSL is an acronym of (Secure Socket Layer) and is commonly used on a website whenever confidential information is passed between the client and the server under the HTTPS protocol. Commonly, SSL is used for E-Commerce because you know, credit card data security is kind of important!

But if it’s for commerce why really have it on a WordPress site that sells nothing? What the hell S? What are you doing wasting perfectly good money on a protocol that has no benefit to you what so ever!?!?!

Oh, but it does! And for those with the cash to do it benefits just about any blogger! Read on if you want to know more.

Theme tableflip!

Blog of S-Config Article Title Screen.

We have changed the theme to this site. Prey we do not change it again.

Today we have decided to completely table-flip the WordPress theme on our site. The Angular theme by kriesi was good for its time but if you could tell from the blog posts about all of the CSS and JS I was writing I was finding myself re-writing major parts of the theme just to get it to conform to today’s standards of the web. The straw the finally broke my back as it was involved wanting a slightly larger resolution and maybe even changing and/or transparent backgrounds only to have it glitch out or crash the moment we begin writing the CSS.

Anyhow, for those interested keep reading. For those who don’t care. Enjoy a faster site with less JavaScript action then before!
